Folk Bands and Artists
Calum White
I´m a singer-songwriter from the Scottish Borders, described as “a cross between Tom Waits and Frank Turner” and of the “best up and coming singer-songwriters in Scotland“
My lyrical inspiration lies somewhere between Bob Dylan, The Replacements’ Paul Westerberg and Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison and lands between abstract and objective storytelling.
I moved to Newcastle to study Popular Music at the age of 19, where I performed a number of different roles, in a number of different bands before finding myself as the front man for acoustic duo Black Beard’s Beard. On returning to the Scottish Borders, I´ve performed across Scotland and the North of England and released three EPs, most recently “Cocktails & Revelations“.
