Artist description:Cathal Dowd is launching his debut album “Friendly Shores“ this September in The Louisiana, Bristol. Cathal Dowd is a folk inspired musician from Ireland who paints honest pictures of his life with an acoustic guitar and punchy vocals. His musical influences range from Paul Simon to Newton Faulkner, and he blends a unique open string tunning with thought provoking lyrics to create an exciting sound. One that welcomes you in with a cuddle and buys you a whiskey. With this debut album, he´s hoping to make an impact on Bristol´s music scene like the bands that have played on this same stage before him (such as Muse, Placebo, and Coldplay)
