The Camden-Tulla Music Exchange Project brings together more than 50 brilliant young musicians from the North London and East Clare areas, between the ages of 13 and 18 to play, sing and dance together – exchanging repertoire, collaborating in performance and making lifelong friendships across the water. The next instalment of this exchange programme will be when students of concertina player Mary MacNamara in Tulla, East Clare visit London in September 2018. Among many other musical and social activities of this weekend, these young musicians will perform alongside students of fiddler Karen Ryan in Camden, North London, during a concert at the Clayton Crown Hotel, Cricklewood on the evening of Friday 28 September 2018.
Here’s a video clip of the young musicians involved in the Project, playing together at a concert in Hammersmith in November 2017
