Still led by legendary guitarist/frontman Stan Webb, Chicken Shack started in the British Blues Boom of the 1960s, 50 Years ago. Those 50 years are celebrated by this exclusive London show.

Over the years, Chicken Shack has seen an astonishing line-up of talented musicians, including Keef Hartley, Christine McVie (later of Fleetwood Mac), Tony Ashton (Ashton Gardner Dyke), Hughie Flint, and now ex-Ten Years After and Clouds bassist, Ian Ellis.

Stan Webb is one of a very few European guitarists from the 1960s who influenced a generation of British Blues performers. Together with the likes of Eric Clapton, John Mayall, and Jimmy Page, Webb helped make Blues popular and fashionable in the UK.

In the 1960s, Chicken Shack charted with the slow Blues classic, “I‘d Rather Go Blind“ as well as the haunting “Tears In The Wind“. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Stan Webb has always remained true to the Blues and never strayed from this honourable course.

Don’t miss this rare central London show with Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack.
As Freddie King once said of him: “Stan Webb proves a white man can play the Blues”.
