Folk Bands and Artists
Ebony is an Australian-born singer/songwriter in London with a flare for the dramatic and an imaginary best friend called Susan the Raptor.
With a history of Musical Theatre, Opera Singing and Theatre, Ebony has combined her experiences to create a sound that is all her own. She has been writing songs her whole life, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that she developed the confidence to play them out loud. Inspired by some prolific songwriters, including Kate Miller-Heidke, Kate Bush, Regina Spektor and Tori Amos, she began performing her own music and quickly realised this was the truest version of herself.
She sings whimsical folk pop and her songs are inspired by the fairy tales she grew up with, the adventures she dreams of going on, and the ups and downs that life brings along the way (mainly the ridiculous situations she manages to get herself in to). She is joined on stage by her musical Husband and co-writer, Nick Burns and together they produce soaring harmonies.
In the words of ‘Fight’ author Hazel Gale; “It’s a rare thing to find music that speaks so directly from (and to) the heart. Wonderful!”
