Events Celebrating Women´s Day 2019
Musical celebrations of International Women´s day include Coven´s International Women´s Day Tour and a special night "I´m Every Woman" presented by Green Note
Rowan Rheingans from Lady Maisery can´t wait to return to one of her favourite venues in one of her favourite cities: “It’s so special to play the Bush Hall, London as part of this tour, I’ve heard so many great things about it as a venue. We´re really looking forward to celebrating International Women’s day, albeit it a few days early, with fans old and new on Tuesday 5th March 2019!”
A unique collaboration described by The Guardian as ‘an invigorating union’, Coven is: the exquisite songwriting duo and BBC 6 Music favourites O’Hooley & Tidow; the enchanting BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners Lady Maisery and the irrepressible Leicester songwriter, activist and performer Grace Petrie.
Four years ago, Coven got together to celebrate International Women’s Day with a series of three concerts. Since then, the tour has extended year on year, with 2017 seeing them release Unholy Choir; an EP of Coven’s special collaborations ("potency and purpose" - Louder Than War).
