Music audiences around the world have seen Janet Robin’s incredible guitar work as a former touring member of Lindsey Buckingham’s Band (from Fleetwood Mac), Meredith Brooks, and Air Supply.
Janet Robin will be heading to the UK as part of her summer 2017 European tour. She´s got a few dates in our country in support of her latest collection of music. Entitled ‘Take Me As I Am,’ the dynamic new CD poignantly highlights Robin’s prowess as a musician and songwriter through ten eclectic new tracks. The album was executively produced by John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and June Carter, and Chuck Turner at Cash Cabin Studios in Nashville. This is the 2nd cd that John Carter Cash produced for Janet. It is an eclectic mix of rock/blues and Americana, with a big emphasis on her amazing, acoustic and electric guitar skills.
Guitar World Magazine named her one of the “Top 10 Female Guitar players”. She has performed with some of the best guitar players in the world- Tommy Emmanuel, Monte Montgomery, Peppino D’Agostino, and more. she was also a former student (and only female student) of the legendary Randy Rhoads Players.
In 2015, Janet coached academy award nominated, actress Jennifer Jason Leigh on guitar on location in Telluride and Los Angeles for 2 months for a special scene in Quentin Tarantino’s film “The Hateful Eight.”
She recently returned from a 34 date European tour and has already began touring since the USA release of her new cd in October 2016. In addition to her solo project, Janet formed “The String Revolution, comprised of 4 internationally acclaimed guitarists utilizing their guitars in very unique and unusual ways to create a full “band” sound. Their new cd was mixed and mastered by Matt Hyde in his London studio, (known for his work on famed guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela). It was also released in October of 2016. Janet also teaches guitar, produces other artists in her studio, does many session dates, conducts workshops, and plays upwards of 150 dates a year around the globe.
