Luke James Williams is an indie/alt.folk singer-songwriter from Cambridgeshire, UK. Releasing his debut EP ´Drove´ in November 2018, Luke gained huge support from BBC6 Music DJ Tom Robinson who made ´Still In Bed´ his 6 Music Recommends Track Of The Week in April 2019, later naming it his Track Of The Year So Far in July. The song was also played across the station by Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq and Tom Ravenscroft. Elsewhere, he has received airplay from Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing.

In July 2022, Luke released his “outstanding“ (Folk Radio) debut album, ´Our Blood Is Red´. As well as picking up rave reviews from some of the biggest sites & publications on the indie & folk scenes, the acclaimed music platform Bandcamp made the album one of their ´New & Notable´ releases which attracted new followers in all four corners of the globe.

Luke has received glowing reviews for his captivating, engaging and emotive live performances and has supported artists such as Megson, Mark Chadwick (Levellers) and The Little Unsaid. After performing at this year´s Cambridge Folk Festival, Autumn 2022 sees him heading out on his first run of headline gigs in the UK.

Drawing on a wide range of musical influences Luke has crafted a unique sound, painting pictures with words and singing them in his own distinctly English voice.
