Marble Empire is 21-year old singer songwriter/producer Matt Berry from North London. Berry is a multi instrumentalist, who writes and produces all his own material, which he describes as a blend of, ‘gritty bass-lines, jazz harmony and guitar lines soaked in effects’. Marble Empire invites you to celebrate the release of his up and coming Mixtape titled ‘Marble Empire & Friends’ a 7 track compilation written and produced by MarbleEmpire himself with 6 featured artists.
Influenced by the likes of Ben Khan, Jungle, SG Lewis and Frank Ocean, tentative early single releases last year quickly gained him much attention from BBC Introducing and saw MarbleEmpire feature in BBC Introducing Top 30 for 2017. Complex & Clash Magazine have also recently suggested that MarbleEmpire ‘seems able to do anything’ & ‘is a dexterous producer, a talented musician, someone capable of moving from jazz basslines to 2-step rhythms within the blink of an eye.’
Marble Empire will be welcoming all collaborators onto stage with him and his band throughout the evening including Katya DJ, KarimThaPeasant, Milo Gore, Kate Lomas, Tchengiz & Natalie Green.
