Folk Bands and Artists
‘Roving Crows’ are in the running for a top award at the prestigious Australian Celtic Music Awards held in Glenn Innes, NSW, Australia on the 30th April. The band was contacted by the Award panel with the news that they are a finalist in the ‘International Artist of the Year’ category.
The band are busy touring in the UK and France throughout the next few months but if they are successful in the awards we could see them zooming off around the globe.
roving-crows-new-2-november-2016The band have received several awards in the past including: Top Celtic Rock Band and Top Fiddle Player at The Irish Music Awards, 2012 Top Folk Act at the Exposure Music Awards, 2012; Best Live Act at Spiral Earth Awards 2014 and Band of the Year at FATEA Music Awards 2014.
Roving Crows comprises, fiddle, guitars, bass, percussion, vocals and synth, a combination that the band present in a very original way producing powerful Celtic undertones and intoxicating tribal rhythms.
Roving Crows are an original must-see act, with roots in Folk and Celtic music. Renowned for their high-energy live performance, their shows pull together funked up traditional tunes and catchy original song.
The most recent album ‘Deliberate Distractions’ received 4* reviews in the Financial Times and R2 Magazine amongst many more.
