Sharon Gal is an experimental vocalist, performer, composer and cross-disciplinary artist.
With particular interest in free improvisation and participatory & collaborative compositions, she works electro-acoustically, using field recordings, electronics, and various musical instruments. She performs solo, and collaborates with other musicians, including; David Toop, Steve Beresford, Phil Minton, Steve Noble, Alex Ward, Andie Brown and Lina Lapelyte. She also performs a series of collaborative experimental compositions L´esprit d´escalier, Toy Orchestra, Long Drone, Room to breathe, and Gals with Guitars. Sharon’s music was released by Ash International, American Tapes, Chocolate Monk, Emanem , Ecstatic Yod, Paradigm and The Tapeworm labels, with the recent release, Voice Studies, on My Dance The Skull.
