The Muni Theatre
The Muni is an Edwardian theatre situated in the heart of Colne, providing year-round entertainment for all the family, from live music, big name comedians, children’s shows and dance nights to local and national theatre.
Every January, George Critchley (PMA Productions) brings a classic pantomime to The Muni stage, with well-known names in the lead roles and a full, professional, supporting cast.
The iconic landmark can hold up to 600 people in a seated capacity (including 200 in the comfortable, spacious seated balcony), plus 800 standing.
The venue has a fully-stocked, licensed bar and a large, sprung dance floor and can be hired for any occasion or event, from wedding receptions and birthday parties, to awards evenings and charity fundraisers.
As well as the main auditorium, there is also a smaller function room known as The Lesser Muni. The Lesser Muni has a small stage and bar and can cater for more intimate meetings, parties and events.
Both The Muni and The Lesser Muni are accessible for wheelchair-users and disabled toilets are located on the ground floor.
