Ben Marwood to Return to the Monarch

Ben Marwood to Return to the Monarch

Ben Marwood is to return to the stage at the Monarch in Camden, following a hiatus of almost two years.

The gig, which is scheduled for May 5th, will be Marwood’s first Headline show in London in over two years, following a two year break from public performance due to health reasons. He will be joined on stage by Lewis Bootle and Aislinn Logan.

Marwood last performed at the Monarch back in 2014 in a headline show with support from B-Sydes and Oxygen Thief, which was followed by a Thursday afternoon set at 2000Trees Festival in 2014. He has since stepped down from public performances, citing health reasons, but has not disappeared altogether – in March last year he hosted Ben Marwood Curates at the Purple Turtle in Reading, a series of events throughout March featuring several of his labelmates and rising artists. Marwood also played at The Shelter London in December alongside Frank Turner in aid of Shelter.

With the ever looming hope of album number 3, Ben Marwood fan’s will surely be pleased to see his return to the stage.

Tickets for the event on May 5th are free – make sure you sign up to the event on Facebook to avoid missing out on information.
