James Riley to release new single on 20th March
Gracefully navigating the line between folk, Americana and adult pop, UK born Anglo/American singer-songwriter James Riley is set to launch his stunning new single ‘New York Minute’ at the Courtyard Theatre, Hoxton, on March 20th.
Taken from his forthcoming debut album, the single is accompanied by a cinematic self-directed video, filmed on location in New York City.
The show will feature a full set from James and his 6-piece backing band, as well as a music video screening of the brand new video and support slots from feted Nashville troubadours Worry Dolls and London-singer/songwriter Simeon.
´New York Minute’ is taken from Riley’s forthcoming debut album ‘Transatlanctica’, which was recorded in Nashville after Riley made an impulsive decision to leave London for the song-writing mecca and a two week trip turned into two years. In that time he scraped together a living doing odd jobs from cycle courier to cinema usher (in the movie theatre where Margo Price had worked before him), window salesman to club doorman, as well as gigging wherever he could. Eventually, he met Grammy Award winning producer Matthew Odmark with whom he co-produced the album.
