Country in the City – Bluegrass and Blues for Macmillan

Papa Truck and Slim Estrada playing live at Cecil Sharp House

Bluegrass music straight out of the Chiltern Hills!
Playing their own blend of the Bluegrass genre that normally flows out of the Appalachian Mountains, Papa Truck have found themselves caught up in the resurgence of Americana Roots music. Formed in 2005 they quickly gained exposure on the British Bluegrass scene by playing at the many Bluegrass Festivals around the UK. They are a 5-piece line up consisting of the traditional instrumentation associated with the genre. With songs that are full of vocal harmonies and beautifully thought-out instrumental breaks the band are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and get your toe tapping...maybe even a little dance!

Papa Truck are playing this gig promoted by Viv Cohen, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

They will be supported by Slim Estrada. Playing a cool piano bar Blues, Slim and his band will get you in a dancing mood and agitate your feet to shuffle and your hips to sway. Slim will be joined by Catherine Ashby.
