FATEA´s 30th Birthday

This year Fatea Magazine turns 30 and they are organising a festival to celebrate!

On 2nd and 3rd November FATEA will be taking over Bournemouth’s historic and characterful Shelley Theatre to run a not-for-profit festival showcasing a wealth of rising artists, alongside a number of established stars.

More than a folk festival! FATEA Magazine features all genres of acoustic music, and has tried to reflect that in the line up. There is have music, traditional and contemporary, but also singer-songwriters, humorous acts, a touch of Americana, a little bit of the blues, and an award winning instrumental duo. Many of the artists are former FATEA Award winners and nominees. Several are also BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners and nominees. 

Music will run over two stages on Friday evening and all day Saturday. There will also be sessions, workshops and an open mic running on the Saturday. Hot food will be available all day and there will be stalls to peruse outside the venue, with a Hobgoblin Music stand inside.

EARLY BIRD WEEKEND TICKETS ARE ONLY £45 AND EARLY BIRD TICKET PRICING CLOSES 12 OCTOBER!

Line-up includes Iona Lane, Merry Hell, Lucy Ward, Kadia, Said The Maiden, Reg Meuross, Luke Jackson, Oka Vanga, Will Pound, The Trials of Cato, Polly Morris Band.
