Dai & The Ramblers are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from London´s roots music scene over the last few years, and play in a style joining the dots between Cajun, folk and blues music. In 2014, they recorded their Cajun-inspired album Duw Duw with Grammy award-winning producer Liam Watson. The songs ´Calico Sue´ and Little Sunflower were played on BBC radio, and the album was acclaimed by the likes of Mojo magazine editor Phil Alexander, Ace records owner Ted Carroll and Manfred Mann frontman Paul Jones.

Singer and guitarist Dai Price writes songs for Dai & The Ramblers, and also runs the New Orleans rhythm and blues sextet The Cosimo Matassa Project. Double bassist Rupert Gillett runs The Cabin studio, and works with a variety of other acts as a cellist. The band features seasoned sidemen Alan Dunn on piano and accordion (Loudon Wainright, Richard Thompson), and Bob Loveday on fiddle (Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra).

In 2014, Paul Heaton from The Beautiful South invited the band to join him on his UK tour, which included memorable gigs at The Spa in Bridlington and St David´s Hall in Cardiff. In London, they have performed at The National Gallery and The Roundhouse, and have played at smaller venues such as at Jamboree, The Green Note, Wilton´s Music Hall, and many others. Their live gigs have earned them a reputation as one of the finest roots music acts around, combining fresh original songwriting with outstanding seat-of-the-pants musicianship.

“This London quartet´s Zydeco-influenced debut swings mightily. Like James Hunter before him, frontman Dai Price is a man to watch.“ Phil Alexander (Mojo)

“An organic, swinging masterpiece... inordinately tight“ Keith Ames (The Musician)

“I love his voice; I love the whole band.“ Paul Heaton (The Beatiful South)

“Just about as good as it gets. One of the best bands I´ve ever seen, and over 50+ years, I´ve seen them all“ Ted Carroll (Ace Records)

“This is a heavyweight songwriter at work.“ Rory Carlile (New Roots)
