Jim Moray is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer who has created startlingly contemporary recordings of England’s traditional songs which have been described as the most significant development in folk music in the last 30 years.
Winner of an astonIshing five BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Moray sees pop, rock and folk all as parts of the same musical landscape. After six ground-breaking albums including his debut, 2003 BBC Folk Award-winning album ´Sweet England, and ´Low Culture´, 2008 fRoots Critics Poll Best Album Award-winner and Mojo Folk Album of the Year, he now finds himself at the forefront of a new folk revival in the UK, and hailed as a pivotal influence by a new generation of folk musicians.
