Trellis Records Turns 2!

Trellis Records Turns 2!

Trellis Records turns 2 this year, and is celebrating at Proud Camden on Wednesday 20th April! Featuring performances from Katie & I, Keiandra and Immy Williams, Trellis is set to showcase some of the artist they feel are really something at the moment.

Katie & I, Liverpool’s newest writing duo, are an alternate blend of acoustic folk, intimate vocals and harmonies. Their first two releases ´Bones´ and ´Quicksand´ have picked up a good response from all over, blogged from the USA to Russia, and picking up BBC Introducing radio play nationally and on BBC 6 Music. Their latest release, ‘Wolves EP’, is a collection of their work over the first few months as an artist alongside a live session recording.

Keiandra draws from post-rock influences, as well as a nod to alt-folk acts including Marika Hackman. Keiandra’s mature songwriting and expansive, poignant soundscapes are impressively confident for her age but very delicate in nature. ‘Wanted’, Keiandra’s debut single, showcases her clever use of lyrics, filling you with intrigue whilst her haunting and ethereal voice whisks you away on a wonderfully atmospheric journey.

Keiandra’s latest release "Icing Sugar" is available now.

With just piano and vocals, Immy Williams’ sound is deceptively simple. It is her strong vocal ranging from soaring heights to fragile delicacy that draws into perspective the choice of sparse instrumentation. Her inspiration leaps from The Beatles, Nick Drake, Carole King through to the ethereal ambiance of London Grammar and Benjamin Clementine. Audiences have drawn comparisons with Hannah Reid (London Grammar), Lana Del Rey and Lianne La Havas.

At just 19 Immy has written a vast bank of well-crafted songs that display an emotional awareness that belie her youth. Having sold out her own shows in Newcastle, gained radio play and supported the likes of Lulu James, Little Comets, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and Marika Hackman, Williams is on track for certain musical success.

Sure to be night of wonderful music and celebration, advance tickets will be available online for just £4 (£6 OTD) here.
