Coley Garratt writes songs on the borderline, where Americana meets English Folk.
Influenced by the great American Troubadours of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Ryan Adams,
and the English Folk superstars of Bert Jansch, Richard Thompson and John Martyn.
He constantly travels between these two vast landscapes picking up any scraps or mementos that
interest him.
An avid reader, his lyrics are infused with a deep love of poetry (Pope, Yeats, Walcott), and the writings of Schopenhauer, Jung, and many eastern philosophies, but particularly the Tao Te Ching.
