Just when you think you’ve worked out where Brighton’s Common Tongue are coming from they throw something into the mix that sends you back to square one. Acoustic folk gets swept into stadium rock or dreaming electricity followed by a post-punk climax. Artful they certainly are, and excellent at what they do – you just have to trust them.
