Conjunto Saboroso
Conjunto Sabroso Is one of London’s most established and popular Latin bands, and the only one of its kind in the UK. Renowned for their authentic swing and lively presence on stage, featuring a vibrant horn section and powerful percussion keeping audiences glued to the dance floor wherever they play. Fronted by charismatic Colombian singer Luz Elena Caicedo, and under the musical direction of renowned multi-percussionist Wilmer Sifontes from Venezuela, the band has brought together some of the most outstanding and experienced musicians in the Latin circuit, to produce their own distinctive and original sound. Conjunto Sabroso have an exceptional record of performances featuring in festivals such as Carnaval del Pueblo, The music Village, Colores de Colombia at The Royal Festival hall, The Luton Carnival, The Bath International Festival, The Beijing International Festival, and The Kijani Fstival in Nairobi. Trips to Spain, Belgium, China and Kenya as well as their stage appearances backing international salsa stars such as Adalberto Santiago (Fania), Jose Mangual Junior, Henry Fiol and Roberto Torres amongst others, have also enhanced their international profile. The band also specializes in running music and dance workshops, having featured as guests in Portsmouth University, Essex University, Ulster University Ireland and Kennyatta University (Nairobi) Kenya.
