Passing Clouds venue to reopen - help needed!
Help The Jago with the last steps in reopening one of London´s favourite folk venues
The Jago is an arts and culture hotspot; one for all and all for one. At the beating heart of Hackney, they host a range of live music events, dance, performance, film screenings, workshops, play dates, yoga classes and much more. Their eclectic mix is tantamount to London’s diverse communities and thus, offering a little bit of something for everyone. The Jago is East London in a nutshell, and their vision is to celebrate and shine a light on the spirit of diversity for generations to come.
Recently they have been working hard to make the most of having been granted the permission to reopen the former Passing Clouds premises once again as a community space and live music venue, this time as "The Jago". This alone is a superb achievement and one which would not have happened without the community´s relentless fight! For 10 years Passing Clouds was a hugely successful live music venue and community hub. Sadly, it was forced to close its doors 2 years ago and has since sat unoccupied, deteriorating by the day. After months of hard work The Jago and Meráki Community Dalston team are now about ⅔ of the way through the refurbishment but need your help to get across the finish line because the money is running out!
