The Porcupine Dilemma are an indie-folk band consisting of Chris Hicks (vocals, guitar), Vivian Li (vocals, mandolin, piano), Ruth Nicholson (Violin) and Christian Wethered (bass). Starting out in London at the end of 2014, they fuse gentle harmonies with politically-charged, melancholic lyrics to create a beautiful but bitter sound. Individually, Chris started out as a singer-songwriter in London five years ago, as Vivian was heavily involved in the bluegrass and folk scenes in New York, with Ruth the new addition to the band. Their songs focus on sexuality, love, life, longing, politics. Having just recorded live at The Fiddlers Elbow in Camden, they are ready to take on the London music scene.
