Songs from the Sea in Chipping Norton

Songs from the Sea in Chipping Norton

This Friday, 9th February, The Salts take their Songs from the Sea to the Chipping Norton Theatre ahead of an illustrious series of concerts there that include Blazin´ Fiddles, Steve Knightley and the Fureys.

The Salts are one of the most exciting and energetic bands on the folk circuit, performing rousing sea shanties, presenting original material alongside their interpretations of traditional songs we all know and love. Their live shows have been going down a storm throughout the UK at festivals and venues alike, including Wilton’s Music Hall and the The Pirate Festival Brixham. With five seasoned musicians, a huge mixture of instruments and fabulous vocal harmonies, The Salts are guaranteed to get the crowd feeling the spray and tasting the salt in the air.

Support is from Edward Naysmith, a singer/songwriter, currently playing various venues nationwide. His blinding technical ability, haunting lyricism and fierce vocal performances, many have likened Edward´s work to the revivalist singer/songwriters of the late 60s – A true 21st Century rarity.

The Salts are at The Theatre Chipping Norton Friday 9th February tickets £14.50

The Salts can next be seen at Croydon Folk Club on 16th April and Brook Theatre, Chatham on 21st April
