“Glasgow is lucky to have The Fallen Angels Club – a keeper of the flame of good roots music. Thanks for supporting Spit & Polish and so many other good artists”
-Francis Macdonald, Shoeshine Records / Spit & Polish
The Fallen Angels Club was established in 2004, by sole promoter Kevin Morris.
The club has promoted well over 100 local and international artists from America, Canada, England, Wales, Germany and Italy – and of course Scotland.
Grammy winner Tim O’Brien, Austin music legend Alejandro Escovedo, The Handsome Family, Darrell Scott, Gretchen Peters, Dave Alvin, Scottish Folk favorites LAU and Drever-McCusker-Woomble, Sam Baker and Eliza Gilkyson have all passed through the doors of The Fallen Angels Club.
In 2007, after the sudden death of Billy Kelly founder of The Big Big Country festival, The Fallen Angels Club launched the Glasgow Americana festival: www.glasgowamericana.com.
