Belper Arts Festival
The seventh Belper Arts Festival will run from 4 May until 1 June 2019 in Belper, Derbyshire
Already confirmed is the fast growing Arts Trail (5/6 May), a genuine Broadway star, JEANNA DE WAAL IN CONCERT (4 May), the enchanting Woollen Woods (13 – 27 May), and Belper Open Houses (25 - 27 May).
Poet and wordsmith Ian McMillan returns. This time he is joined by cartoonist Tony Holland for their show ´The Cartoon History Of Here´ (15 May).
Speaking of plays, the Short Play Festival (5 – 24 May) returns after an absence of four years. It´s free to submit scripts and you can find full details on here.
Voices Of the Valley (5 – 25 May) is a new initiative featuring choirs and harmony groups from along the Derwent Valley. It will feature concerts, workshops and special events for Dementia Awareness Week. Voices Of The Valley will close on 25 May with the ´Singing Trail´ around the streets, shops, cafes and restaurants in Belper.
A new initiative this year is 3A or Access All Arts, in partnership with Accessible Belper, this year will see the first steps on a journey that will bring accessibility to events for as many people as possible, click here to read more on Access All Arts.
