Deal Folk Club re-opened its doors on 16th February 2023 in our new venue St. Andrews Church Hall in West Street, Deal CT14 6DZ. We now meet twice a month on thursday evenings from 7pm to 9.55pm – singing starts at 7.15pm prompt. We usually meet on the first and third thursdays of each month (though occasionally this changes – keep an eye on this website) . All are welcome, audience and performers alike, but it helps if you come prepared to join in the choruses!
We normally have one Singers Night per month and one Guest Night where we book Festival Quality guests. Floor Singers are welcome on all nights, and we try to fit everyone in for at least one song, even on guest nights.
Traditional and contemporary folk songs predominate – anything from a capella harmony singing and sea songs to songwriters singing their own compositions. But all styles and instruments are welcome.
Admission on Singer’s Nights is £3 and Guest Nights are usually £8.
