Dreamers Folk presents

Starting life in March 2000 under the banner ” St.Ives Folk Club” at the Tyringham Arms, we opened with a Grand Concert of regular guests at the old Pipers Folk Club. The headline artist was Noel Murphy, singer & comedian ably supported by Mic McCreadie, Keith Hills and Tony Shaw. It was a great evening and a great start to the Folk Club. In the ensuing weeks we had visitors such as Rae Fisher, Bob Fox & Vin Garbutt. Moving on to the Star Inn at St.Erth with guests Tom McConville, Clive Carroll & Zabuloe before moving to larger premises at the Smugglers Inn at St Erth Praze, where under the guidance of Niall and Kitty Timmins the club really prospered. Changes of ownership at the Smugglers forced a move to Wheal Dream Inn at Helston, where we had many happy years and where we acquired the new name of “Dreamers Folk”
