Lewis Barfoot is a contemporary folk artist & singer-songwriter.  She writes mystic and majestic songs that stop you in your tracks.  She has been captivating audiences with her beautiful voice that “Melts the Hearts of Angels” according to Folk Radio UK and is frequently compared to the likes of Kate Rusby, Sandy Denny, Eddie Reader and Maíre Brennan. Born in London and now based in her maternal home of Cork since 2019, Lewis seamlessly blends her dual heritage into her music. Her sound is marked by an uncomplicated loveliness, combining ethereal, evocative vocals with original compositions and reimagined traditional songs from Ireland and the British Isles. With two full-length albums, “Glenaphuca“ and “HOME,“ under her belt, Lewis is now developing her new EP “The Old Bog Road”.  Accompanying herself on nylon string guitar, shruti box, and live vocal loops, she creates a rich, immersive soundscape. Lewis´s live show is a journey into the heart of contemporary folk music; fearless and disarmingly honest lyrics, combined with her brilliant storytelling and magnetic stage presence, promise a show that will leave you blown apart in the best possible way. Together with her band on violin, clarinet, ukulele and percussion they create an uplifting, soul full and  brilliant live gig experience that will leave you filled to the brim with love, joy, humanity and the feeling of community. Prior to writing her own music, Lewis sang in Irish with folk ensemble Rún, playing at Glastonbury, The Union Chapel and UK folk festivals, releasing two EP´s with them Beidh Aonach Amárach and Seo is Siud.
