Poet in the City is the leading producer of live poetry events in London, providing a dynamic platform for contemporary and classic poetry, curating around 50 events each year which bring poetry to life for a 21st century audience. We invite audiences into the worlds of poets, bringing words off the page and into theatrical settings and curated talks. Through our work, we have fostered a genuine and growing appetite for accessible, challenging and inspiring poetry performances and regularly attract audiences in excess of 300 people. We also commission new work and run thriving volunteer and employability schemes. We are supported by NPO funding from the Arts Council.
