Summer by the River – London’s largest, free outdoor festival – returns to revive the party spirit with three months of entertainment set against the iconic backdrop of London Bridge City
Summer by the River (London’s largest, free outdoor festival) runs 1 June to 2 September 2022.
Held at three locations in London Bridge City (The Scoop, Hay’s Galleria and The Pier).
Three months of free entertainment (including music, theatre, dance, comedy, film and fitness)
Highlights include: Gospeloke, Dabbers Bingo, Hip Hop Weekender, Tears of Jenny Greenteeth, Twelfth Night, BBC Introducing, Leah Weller, and Swing Patrol.
Community and grassroots talent will be championed throughout the festival, including at the Folk and Roots Stage in Hay’s Galleria.
Two outdoor, Miami-inspired pop-up bars – The Riverside Terrace and Taqueria Garcia.
The festival overlooks iconic London buildings including Tower Bridge, Tower of London and HMS Belfast.
The first week of the festival coincides with Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – and London BridgeCity is one of the Beacon lighting locations. The outdoor screen at The Scoop will air all official proceedings and themed entertainment will include a Tea Dance.
