George’s effortless vocals and sensitive guitar playing evoke an intimate atmosphere that silences even the rowdiest of crowds. He won the Matt & Phreds Singer / Songwriter Competition 2014 in Manchester and was chosen for long list in ‘Glastonbury Festival’s 2014 Emerging Talent Competition’. He regularly gigs all around the North and has supported artists such as ‘Natty’, ‘The Travelling Band’ and ‘Skinny Lister’. He has been on both BBC Tees and BBC York performing live sessions for BBC Introducing.
George recorded his single ‘Before Too Long’ in the summer of 2014 which was soon followed by the release of his EP ‘Through The Winter’ recorded live at The Granary Studios in North Yorkshire.
