Music has led Alex Seel from Devon to London to Ireland and back to London again. Through his wanderings, Alex has picked up a finely crafted, rootsy song-writing style alongside a gutsy acoustic guitar, finger-picking technique. A contemporary twist on the traditional British Folk Revival singer/guitarist, he has a growing reputation as a solo performer, having performed around Europe and New Zealand.

His live shows contain a variety of tempos, styles and topics which he switches between to create a captivating performance. Topically, inspirations from eccentric characters in ordinary life, to a metaphorical mole in the ground, to love in hard times, to gratitude and loss are just some of the themes he touches upon.

With now officially 3 albums and 2 EPs released, Seel has built a steady following and appreciation from a growing number of folk clubs, radio play and interest from abroad. He has supported Graham Parker and Clive Carrol amongst many others in the past.

Alex also plays in the folk duo Seel & Sanders with virtuoso instrumentalist Jon Sanders. They have toured the UK, Germany and New Zealand so far.
