Gráinne Brady brings The Highest Blossom to England and Scotland on summer 2026 tour

Irish singer, songwriter and fiddle player Gráinne Brady tours England and Scotland this summer with The Highest Blossom, a collection of contemporary folk songs rooted in tradition and rich in storytelling.

Originally from Co. Cavan, Ireland, Gráinne is known for her work across traditional and contemporary folk music. While widely recognised as a fiddle player, songwriting has become an increasingly important part of her creative work in recent years.

The Highest Blossom features original songs and collaborations with acclaimed songwriters Boo Hewerdine and Findlay Napier. Rooted in folk traditions yet addressing contemporary themes, the project places strong emphasis on lyric, melody and storytelling.

For most dates on the tour, Gráinne performs solo, presenting an intimate collection of songs in simple, direct arrangements that allow the words and melodies to take centre stage. The performances draw on folk song traditions while exploring ideas of movement, belonging, change and personal experience.

"Gráinne is one of the most naturally musical people I know. And when she sings a song she transports us."
— Boo Hewerdine

"... a banquet for the senses..."
— Folkworld

"Arrangements evoke both adversity and lively inner strength."
