Trafalgar Way concert on Pickle Night

What will you be doing on Pickle Night 6th November?
It is the date traditionally remembered by lower ratings* for the arrival of news from the Battle of Trafalgar: a Victory and the death of Lord Nelson HMS Pickle docked at Falmouth on 4th November with the messenger arriving in London at the Admiralty on 6th November 1805. A journey of 271 miles completed in 38 hours with 21 changes of horses - now known as The Trafalgar Way. One such stop was Andover and like the others has a plaque decreeing this.
To celebrate 220 years the AndoverMuseum Loft Singers along with a local dance school and songwriter Guy Chant will be performing a concert in Andover Community Church.
Thursday 6th November - 7:00PM

Some of the songs we are singing will be connected to the various staging posts along the Trafalgar Way and to keep the nautical theme there will be a shanty or two added that will create a seafaring atmosphere.
