George Simmonds and his band of misfits put their own spin on some of the classic funk and New Orleans standards.
Bio:
George Simmonds and the Squintet started in the murky past, during the winter of 2010, when George got a band together to play dodgy jazz standards in dodgy bars in East London. Since then, they have developed from a group of gangly teenagers into a slick funk machine, laying out grooves at their favourite venue in Islington, the Round Midnight Jazz and Blues Bar.
