The Trad Gathering brings together a large number of the best young traditional Irish musicians from across London and further afield. In 2009 Return to Camden Town Festival commissioned the renowned Leitrim composer, Charlie Lennon, to write a suite of music for the group called Recollections of Camden Town which they went on to perform at the Royal Festival Hall. After a six-year break, in 2017, group leaders Karen Ryan and Pete Quinn relaunched the project with the next wave of great young musicians in and around the capital.
