Effortless cascading vocals, mellifluously heady & peaty raw as the Dartmoor landscape she hails from. Folk artist Holly Ebony writes lyrical solace as creative activism that speaks to a profound love affair with life.
Her 2023 debut studio album, ´Born For These Times´, conjures Curlews & Cormorants, lullabies Ash trees, scatters love-letters wending on the currents of a river & is gifted as libations to the tides. Achingly tender yet powerfully rousing it aspires to forge nature connection, cultivate resilience, and serve Earth.
This emerging act are rapidly building a dedicated audience, performing at well-aligned events including Nest Collective Homecoming, Dartington Hall, Sharpham Rewilding Project & Field Studies Centre Ecology Festival.
With funding support from Help Musicians, the album will be released in 2023 with scheduled performances at The Folklore Rooms Brighton, Dart Music Festival, The Canteen Bristol, Exeter phoenix, Dartington Hall & Plymouth Barbican.
