The Kindred Spirit Band sound is special and distinctive, driven by “haunting and bewitching“ female vocals, guitar, a classically trained, flute / sax / cello player, sizzling electric guitar player, dynamic drums and bass guitar and laced with jigs, reels and duelling improvisations.
The heart of the band sound is Elaine Samuels´ beautiful vocals, powerful, “perceptive and intriguing“ songs and guitar work. The band soars into a rock stratosphere with Piers Hogg´s expert electric guitar playing. Classically trained Stevie Mitchell plays flute & saxophone in a beautifully melodic and exciting way, complementing and playing both around and alongside the electric guitar melodies, bursting into “Tullesque“ solos. Stevie´s lovely vocals also harmonise well with Elaine´s. Keith Buckman plays driving and dynamic bass rhythms and great drummer and percussionist Aleem Saleh underpins the sound!
