Rest of the UK
Lisa Knapp and Gerry Diver

A celebrated partnership poised to enchant traditional folk purists and new seekers alike is coming to Mossley this April.
BBC Folk Award winner Lisa Knapp and virtuoso fiddle player Gerry Diver will call in at The Vale hot off the back of their five star 2025 release Hinterland, which made folk album of the year lists everywhere from the Guardian to KLOF mag.
Though it´s officially their first joint album, the married couple have been working together since Knapp´s 2007 debut Wild and Undaunted, for which south Manchester-born and Irish-bred Diver earned a producer credit.
Promising a fresh, exhilarating spin on folk music’s timeless tales, the duo have fused their deep-seated love for English and Irish folk traditions into a vibrant project that’s as grounded in tradition as it is daring in innovation.
Together, they create a richly textured, emotionally resonant sound, layering twin fiddles, voice, percussion, autoharp, electronica and field recordings into bold, atmospheric arrangements.
The intimate, seated gig on Saturday 18 April 2026 gives folk lovers the opportunity to catch the pair up close ahead of larger scale performances at Bristol Folk Festival and Shambala later in the year.
