Shared Airs: Our Thriving Folk Musics

The Royal College of Music Museum´s special exhibition explores the world of contemporary folk traditions, celebrating how and why folk musics continue to evolve, live and thrive. Co-curated with folk musicians and researchers, a range of historical and new instruments such as the hardingfele, hurdy-gurdy and harps demonstrate the importance of folk music, dance and song traditions in connecting communities.
The exhibition is free and open until Sunday 25 October. The RCM Museum is open Tuesday–Friday, 10.15am-5.45pm and Saturday–Sunday, 11am-6pm.
