Joe Northwood Trio
This trio began as a vehicle to explore Joe´s original compositions, which culminated in the recording of the groups self-named EP, ‘Tuk Tuk’, in 2016. Their sound melds memorable melodic lines with highly percussive group improvisation. With the absence of a chordal instrument they have flourished, creating a strong collective sound, rich in textures and subtle soundscapes.
Since studying at the RWCMD, Joe has built his base in Cardiff, leading numerous bands and projects over the past few years, as well as launching a jazz promotion group, Echo Music, in 2017.
