WRIGGLING UP FROM UNDERGROUND SINCE 2007
Wormfood was founded in 2007 by Andre Marmot and Max Baillie with the intention of unifying audiences for African music and dance music, and has since expanded to include a wide range of genres, unified by quality musicianship and positive attitude. Since then we have run over 400 concerts, clubnights and festivals stages across the UK, with an average of 10 regular events per month at Hootananny (Brixton), Passing Clouds (Dalston), Rich Mix (Shoreditch), The Canteen (Bristol).
We are the agent for some of the UK’s best live acts wriggling up from underground, including United Vibrations, Nubiyan Twist, MC Xander, Diabel Cissokho and many more – please click here for full roster. We are also very proud to curate the African Rootmaster section of Continental Drifts’ Arts Council England-funded Global Local project, nurturing homegrown UK talent with an afro twist. We have been helped along the way by PRSF and the many, many brilliant organisations we are proud to call our friends.
We are happy to programme, curate and arrange music for any event. We also offer agency, PR, and tour management services to bands – please get in touch with any proposals.
