Ahab
Formed in 2009, ahab swiftly built a reputation for their live performances both in London and at the Cropredy Festival 2010. In November of that year ahab released their own 5 track EP ‘No King’.
This led to legendary producer John Leckie recording their ‘KMVT’ EP at Real World Studios which was released on Navigator Records in October 2011. BBC Radio 2 enthusiastically supported the key track ‘Wish You’ with regular prime time plays.
‘KMVT’ was also released into the Scandinavian territories as a result of the excitement ahab created at Denmark’s Tonder Festival 2011. ‘Wish You’ was play-listed on Denmark’s National Radio Station, NPR4.
Originally assembled for ahab’s debut tour of Australia in 2012, ‘Wits End’ contains the remastered version of ‘No King’ and ‘KMVT’ and also includes the bonus track ‘Lucy’, recorded in 2011 by John Leckie at London’s Snap Studios.
ahab have been touring extensively worldwide since the release of ‘KMVT’ and in 2012 released their 14 track live album – ‘Live in London’.
In between festivals this summer, ahab have found time to record their new studio album ´Beautiful Hell´, the release of which will coincide with their October UK tour.
