Astrakan Project are a world music band who juggle Breton ballroom dance, 1930s rhythmic march song, ancient laments, songs of tragic romance, Kurdish improvisational stylings, mystic voice play and murder ballads via guitar, violin, ‘oud, electric ‘oud, derbouka, bendir, violin, packets of Nescafe Gold and more. They’re fonts of knowledge on Brittany’s rich linguistic and musical heritage to boot, and will make you dance whilst you learn.
