Bird Radio is Mikey Kirkpatrick, a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer from Hereford, UK. Using a loop pedal, effects pedals and a suitcase bass drum he has performed from street to stage in the UK and beyond at over 100 venues including Cafe Oto, Tate Britain, the Union Chapel, Cecil Sharp House, Whitechapel Gallery, Ronnie Scott´s and many more. His debut album The Boy and the Audience, released in 2013 on SFE/Cherry Red Records along with the film trilogy Time to Go was described by Bearded Magazine as ´a worthy nod to Nick Cave, Tom Waits, and lest we forget, Jethro Tull. A robust, musically challenging piece with a significant focus on folklore and wild imagination´.
