Caim

Ireland´s Jacynth Hamill and Scotland’s Heather Innes and Pauline Vallance
sing together as Caim.
Jacynth and Heather met in Belfast in the 1980’s. In 1998 Caim celtic harmony
duo was born when Heather invited Jacynth to sing with her and to research and
arrange most of the music for their first album, Caim, Sung Prayers in the Celtic Tradition, based on the writings of David Adam, former vicar of Lindisfarne.
Pauline has played flute for many years, in orchestras and in folk sessions. She began playing clarsach in 2007. This inspired her to start writing songs. In 2009, she was a prizewinner at the Glasgow Songwright Festival and she has played a number of folk festivals and clubs in Scotland and northern England.
