Carlos Cesar Motta
A drummer and percussionist from Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Cesar has worked with Nana Caymmi and spent more than ten years as a musician for singer Maria Bethânia, both regarded as among the most important living artists in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB). With Maria Bethânia, he recorded four live DVDs. He has performed on prestigious stages around the world, including Carnegie Hall (New York), Salle Pleyel (Paris), the Southbank Centre (London), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), and the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.). More recently, he performed at Casa da Música with the OJM alongside Kiko Freitas.
