Claire M Singer
Claire M Singer is an award winning composer, producer and performer of acoustic and electronic music, film and installations. Known for her experimental approach to the organ and for her critically acclaimed releases on the prolific label Touch recent performances include Tate Modern London; Muziekgebouw Aan´ t ij; Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, Barbican London and the Queen Elizabeth Hall London.
Claire was a recipient of the inaugural Oram Awards for her innovation in sound and music. Recent projects include composing a solo work for award-winning violinist Galya Bisengalieva and a new commission from the London Contemporary Orchestra for organ and ensemble. This year her score for Tell It To The Bees starring Anna Paquin and Holliday Grainger, won a Festival Castell de Peralada Award for best music at the BCN Festival.
Claire is founder of the Organ Reframed festival at Union Chapel which she launched in 2016. The only festival of its kind in the UK, it focuses on commissioning and presenting innovative new experimental music which re-imagines the organ for both artist and audience.
